A Green Apple for Education And Conservation
Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work has received national recognition for its work around education and conservation.
The Business Park, renowned for its sustainability initiatives, scooped the prestigious title of National Gold Winner for Education & Training (Conservation) in recognition of the Primary Eco Tours Project at the Green Apple Awards, which took place at the Houses of Parliament.
The Green Apple Awards are an international campaign to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world. Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work beat off more than 500 other nominations to scoop the top spot.
The company impressed the judges with its work with primary schools which sees more than 120 year four and five pupils from local primary schools visit the Park each year. The sessions focus on why we recycle, what is recycled at Chiswick Park and how to recycle at school and home. The two-hour session can include a visit to our 50,000 strong wormery, practical sessions about the wildlife at the Park and an opportunity to take part in planting.
Chiswick Park’s winning paper will now be featured in The Green Book – a unique work of reference on environmental best practice designed to allow others to follow the lead of the winners and learn from their expertise.
