Quality Assurance Officer

The Quality Assurance Officer post reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, interfaces with the Deputy Registrar - Quality Assurance and Collaborative Provision, and will share responsibility for the unit's administrative function with a second administrator. The central function of the Quality Assurance Officer role is to maintain accurate, well-organised and comprehensive documentation, in support of the University's duties to key external bodies, including (but not limited to) the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), the Office for Students (OfS) and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE – US).

This role requires experience and proficiency with administrative practices and information management, excellent Microsoft Office skills and the confidence to work autonomously across diverse areas of responsibility. The Quality Assurance team works with faculty, administrators and leadership across the University, with academics in the wider higher education community and with regulatory bodies. The Quality Assurance Officer serves as a front line point of contact for internal and external colleagues, coordinates logistics for panel events and committee meetings and serves as clerk and key record-keeper for related outcomes and actions. It is desirable that candidates will bring experience of working in an administrative role at an institution of further or higher education but we will also welcome applications from well-organised, capable administrators with experience outside of the education sector.

Richmond is an equal opportunities employer.

A Basic level Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
