We are now seeking to appoint an IT Support Analyst. Reporting to the IT Support Manager, some of the responsibilities involved with this role include:
• to provide an effective interface between the University community and the IT service,
• to pro-actively identify solutions to user problems and provide advice & assistance to students and staff in the use of hardware and applications;
• to assist with hardware setup, software installation and regular maintenance on a range of devices, including mobile technologies;
• to assist in the set-up and management of user accounts to ensure secure and appropriate access.
The preferred candidate will have proven experience of working in a similar role in a large-scale networked environment, a high level of IT and technical skills and good communication and organisational skills. It is desirable that the role holder will have experience of working within the Higher Education sector and have MCP, MCSE and / or other specialist technical qualifications.
