ADJUNCT ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES AND LIBERAL ARTS

For Assistant Professor, 3-credit course fee range is £2,500 - £3,000 per course.

For Associate Professor, 3-credit course fee range is £3,020 - £3,570 per course.

Richmond American University London is seeking to appoint a part-time faculty member to join its dynamic Liberal Arts Core team within the School of Liberal Arts, starting in September 2023.

As part of the on-going development of our environmental curriculum (in computer modelling in ecology/ environmental studies in particular), we are looking to appoint experienced faculty to teach at the undergraduate level, delivering both Environmental Studies and Liberal Arts Core modules to 3000, 4000 and 5000 levels and to assist the development of modules at postgraduate level.

Successful candidates will hold a recognised teaching qualification and a graduate degree in Environmental Studies or related discipline. A PhD in a relevant subject area and an awareness/experience of curriculum development is desirable. Priority will be given to candidates with proven university level teaching experience.

As Richmond is an international university with students from over 100 countries and has a distinct intercultural mission, an international outlook and experience of both US and UK systems of higher education would be an advantage.

Appointment will be made at the Adjunct Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience and with a salary commensurate with teaching and practical experience.
