When it comes to being more environmentally friendly, a little change can go a long way. So while we’re spending more time in our homes, we wanted to share some easy tips and tricks you can do today to help be a little kinder to our planet.
Unplug at night
The best way to maximise your energy efficiency is to totally unplug and shutdown all your electrical objects at night.
Collect rainwater
There’s so much you can use this water for like cleaning or watering plants. Just don’t drink it.
Wash laundry in cold water
Unless it is dirty, wash at thirty. To save energy, wash your laundry on the cold-water setting.
Turn the tap off
Simple, but important. Did you know that you can save up to 8 gallons of water a day just by turning the tap off when you brush your teeth?
Give your home a ‘green’ makeover
There are little switches you can make, like buying energy-efficient lightbulbs that could save you a few pounds in the long run.
Add plants to your home
This also helps to reduce the energy required to heat and cool your home.
