If there is one thing that we have all learnt from lockdown, it's the power of walking. Just taking a few moments away from your screen to go for a stroll can work wonders for both your physical and mental health. As May is National Walking Month, here at Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work we have been celebrating and highlighting the many benefits of walking linked to work productivity.
More and more of us are walking as part of our daily exercise regimes because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Figures suggest that 57% of people say they now go on more walks for exercise or walk for longer than they did before the pandemic.
Just 30 - 60 minutes walking each day brings many positive benefits to our body whilst also having huge mental and emotional rewards.
• Improves mood
• Increases focus and attention
• Boosts satisfaction
• Stimulates creativity
Throughout the month of May, we have been running a series of sociable lunchtime Walk & Talk events here on Campus to encourage our Team and Guests to get their steps in, get outside and meet new people!
We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation, who have helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK. If you would like to donate, you can do so here.
When it comes to office space in London, Chiswick Park offers more outdoor space than most. Set in 33-acres, the Campus offers a beautifully landscaped and calm space for Guests and the community to go for a relaxing stroll. Walking around the lake, amongst nature and wildlife with the sound of the waterfall in the background, is a great way to spend a sunny lunchbreak or get some headspace out of the office.
