Richmond, the American International University in London moves to Chiswick Park

We are pleased to announced that Richmond, the American International University in London, will be moving to the Park next summer. Richmond’s undergraduates will be based at Chiswick Park ready for the start of the term in September 2022.

The university will be located in Building 12, occupying over 37,000 sq ft. including a state of the art library and providing advanced facilities for students and staff. Masters students will continue to be based at the nearby Kensington facility.

With a vision to be a leading liberal arts university, Richmond offers students an unparalleled education in London, blending two of the finest education systems in the world. The university provides the best of US and UK higher education by offering the breadth of liberal arts with the focus of single subject degrees such as philosophy, writing, science, business, creativity, communications, digital futures, international relations, history, and psychology.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the first University to Chiswick Park. This is a great fit for our campus as we will directly connect students and businesses.”

Matt Coulson, CEO at Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work

The new location will provide students with internship and employment opportunities amongst 72 companies currently based on the Campus, including Danone, Discovery, Starbucks and IMG. Professor Phil Deans, President and Vice Chancellor of the University, said, “We have been considering different options for the future campus location over the last 18 months and are delighted to have found a new home in the innovative and award-winning Chiswick Park.”

“This is a once in a generation opportunity to take the University forward and to improve the facilities and environment for all of our students, staff and faculty. The move to this new location during our 50th year will offer the University significant opportunities. It will allow us to develop new relationships with both local businesses and the community and reimagine our future as the UK’s pioneering liberal arts university.”

Chiswick Park is a 1.8 million sq. ft. business campus managed by Estate Management Company Enjoy-Work, which proposes a regular programme of events and concierge services dedicated to over 10,000 workers.
